Marley Knows Love Best
She may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters?
She’s not perfect - you aren’t either, and the two of you may never be
perfect together... but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think
twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and
give her the most you can.
She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she
will give you a part of her that she knows you can break - her heart.
So don’t hurt her, don’t change her, don’t analyze and don’t expect
more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know
when she makes you mad, and miss her when she’s not there.”
- Bob Marley
Hula Hula Until You Drop
This little girl was the best hula hooper I've seen... ever. She was naturally graceful as she walked around effortlessly with the hoop circling her waist. It was amazing! I'll admit, I was jealous.

Frank Said Eat Me

I was reading the Timeout New York Magazine and came across this place. I have yet to go there but it's in my horizon...
Here's a review off of yelp:
Brooklyn, NY

"I know this place has 200 reviews and they're mostly all glowing but I'd like to throw in 201 and say this place makes goddamn delicious hot dogs. So, so good. The snap is almost perfect and separates the textures nicely. The bacon-wrapping: amazing. The Tsunami dog is one of the best things I've ever seen done with a hot dog. This is gourmet. And the prices are pretty good too don't ya think? AND the Ms. Pac Man table may be tantamount to bribery since they must know my affinity for Ms Pac Man and used that as a ruse to get me in the door that first time.
There's that hidden bar in here too. I guess that's cool. It's fun watching people struggle with figuring out how to get in. But kinda annoying when a crowd of obnoxious bar tourists stands inside for 20 minutes giggling and trying to open the door AND fit all their sorority sisters into the booth at the same time and I just want to get to the damn counter for a hot dog.... Sigh. Ok. Well. Small price to pay. Cause the food is awesome and the staff is awesome and space is awesome even the little bar is awesome. Awesome."

Did you notice the box of microwavable pad thai hanging above the photo frame?

Did I mention I'm a huge fan of yelp? You'll notice this when I quote other yelper's on our experience at a venue...

I like to pretend I'm French sometimes and this restaurant is the best place to do it. It has old artsy posters, dirty mirrors, weird colored glass liquid dispensers, creme brulee, bread, cheese, and even beet and goat cheese salad! Even if you don't like pretending to be french you can come here too, and drink off their incredible collection of beers.

Quarter Life Crisis

I spent the week before my working life exploring New York, going to game shows, and finding new and different things to do via yelp.com.

The celebrity guests at 100k Pyramid were:
Ken Jennings--enough said--
Caroline Rhea-Hilda on Sabrina The Teenage Witch
Susie Essman-Curb Your Enthusiasm (Jeff's wife-i think)
Jesse Metcalfe(he played John Tucker in John Tucker Must
Die)
Michael Jackson- True Hollywood Story

Michael Jackson, an American singer, record producer, author, businessman, philanthropist, and global Hollywood icon, died this week. Tragic. Unexpected. But mostly unforgettable.
Michael/MJ/Jacko depending on the decade you fell in love with this remarkable man, has left such a considerable mark on the world behind him. Whether it was his lyrics that called for a unification of world leaders or his multifarious efforts to bring to society the meaning of love and kindness, Jackson was truly an inspirational man for all who he has left in his path.
Some memorable facts about MJ:
-His 1982 album Thriller remains the world's best-selling album of all time
-In the early 1980s, he became a dominant figure in popular music and the first African American entertainer to amass a strong crossover following on MTV
-He is one of the few artists to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame... twice
-His top recognized songs include: I Want You Back, I'll Be There, Rockin' Robin (as a member of the Jackson 5), Thriller, Billie Jean, Beat It, Wanna Be Startin' Something, We Are The World, The Way You Make Me Feel, Dirty Diana, The Girl Is Mine, Pretty Young Thing, and many more...
Below I've attached a Youtube clip of my favorite live performance by MJ at the 1988 Grammy Awards. He is performing "Man in the Mirror" which was nominated for Record of the Year at the Grammy Awards.
Formal Introductions...
I've decided to keep a blog for the mere fact that people keep telling me that they think my life is interesting. Am I really that out of the ordinary for someone to say something like that? I can't help that I'm awkwardly charming, right?
Anyway, my blog will detail the interesting and not so interesting things that happen to me. I'll also post links to various sites or events I find "hip".
Am I supposed to say something else cool here? Probably.
