I've lived in Manhattan one year to the date and I've been thinking a lot lately about how much things can change so suddenly in a year's time. In the last year I graduated college, moved to a foreign city, dumped my long-time (first ever) boyfriend (THANK GOODNESS haha), had random nights of debauchery with complete strangers, karaoke-ed until 7am (on a weekday), hopped on random airplanes across country, and the list goes on... Things and people can change so drastically in one year's time, but the biggest lesson I've learned over the last year is that while people and events go in and out of our lives, it's important to discover who we are as individuals. You can't move forward unless you know who you are, what makes you tick, and most importantly what makes you happy.
I'm back Manhattan, better than ever, and I'm taking you and the world on one day at a time.

Marley Knows Love Best
“You may not be her first, her last, or her only. She loved before.
She may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters?
She’s not perfect - you aren’t either, and the two of you may never be
perfect together... but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think
twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and
give her the most you can.
She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she
will give you a part of her that she knows you can break - her heart.
So don’t hurt her, don’t change her, don’t analyze and don’t expect
more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know
when she makes you mad, and miss her when she’s not there.”
- Bob Marley

Hula Hula Until You Drop
This little girl was the best hula hooper I've seen... ever. She was naturally graceful as she walked around effortlessly with the hoop circling her waist. It was amazing! I'll admit, I was jealous.
